Free eye screening brought community care closer to home
A community eye-screening activity created a simple, local opportunity for people to pay attention to their eye health.
The Foundation hosted a free eye-screening activity at Nungua Mantse Palace on 6 July 2023. Community members were invited to walk in and have their eyes checked by a medical team.
Holding the activity in a familiar community setting helped make the service visible and easier to reach. It also created space for people to learn why regular attention to eye health matters.
The event reflects the Foundation's wider approach to community development: work locally, connect people with practical services and make support easier to access.
